Two medium depth earthquakes hit the Chamba area on the Himachal Pradesh-Jammu and Kashmir border on Monday afternoon, the Nationwide Centre For Seismology (NCS) stated.

The primary tremor, which had a magnitude of 5.zero, was reported at round 12.10 pm.

The second, having a magnitude of two.7, occurred at 12.57 pm, the NCS stated.

Each quakes happened at a depth of 5 km.
