Britain’s parliament on Tuesday started a controversial five-week suspension throughout a ceremony marred by a protest wherein opposition MPs held up indicators studying “SILENCED” and shouted “Shame on you!”.
Home of Commons Speaker John Bercow condemned the transfer as “an act of executive fiat” and one of many protesting MPs was seen making an attempt to cease him leaving the chamber to participate within the ceremony, which suspends parliament till October 14.
