At least 150 people have been killed including 35 foreigners and hundreds got injured after the explosion in three churches and three hotels in and around Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo says police sources adding that this blasts hit high-end hotels and a church in Colombo while two other churches were targeted outside the Colombo during Easter Mass.
Sri Lankan Prime minister explained the attack through his tweet which consists that the citizens should stay strong and united and be strong and I condemn this coward attack on our people today and I call upon all the Sri Lanka people to be strong and during this tragic time to remain united and strong and please stop propagating unverified reports and speculation and the government is taking required steps immediately he tweeted.
Easter day bomb blasts a three at three Sri Lankan churches and hotels in and around of Colombo, Sri Lanka following a lull in major attacks since the end of civil war against 10 years ago. The Sri Lankan government has called an emergency meeting where the Minister of Economic Reforms and Public Distribution, Harsha de Silva, said in a tweet. “Emergency meeting called in a few minutes. Rescue operations underway,” he tweeted.
In St. Sebastian’s church in Katuwapitiya, north of Colombo, more than 50 had been killed says a police officer showing the dead bodies of the people and the destroyed roof. A 25 number of people were killed in Batticaloa in Eastern Province says media.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned that the blasts that hit Sri Lanka on Easter saying that we strongly condemn about the blasts in Sri Lanka and there is no place for such absence of culture and tradition in our India and it stands for uniqueness and harmony with the people of Sri Lanka.
Sushma Swaraj who is the External Affairs Minister have said that she is touch with the Indian High Commissioner in Colombo and the Government was close;y taking care of the situations in the neighbouring country.
