Star Trek followers are petitioning for a Captain Nog statue within the upcoming sequence Picard following the dying of Aron Eisenberg.
A Change.org petition has been arrange thanking the actor for his work within the fandom and acknowledging the ‘recognition’ he deserves.
‘You could almost say that Aron Eisenberg was born to play this role, if nothing else he gave us all a wonderful gift, Nog,’ shared Emma Gazaway who created the petition.
‘Nog had, by far, probably the most fascinating character arch [sic] in star Star Trek DS9, if not the entire Canon Trek universe.
‘We grew with him, and he with us. His development to an officer, as the primary Ferengi in Starfleet by itself deserves recognition within the new sequence.
‘The friendship and joy that Aron himself brought us, deserves even more. Thank you Aron, thank you Nog. We love you.’
Eisenberg performed Nog, a Ferengi, on the Star Trek spin-off Deep Area 9 between 1993 and 1999.
His spouse confirmed his passing in an announcement on Fb, paying tribute to the actor, saying: ‘I love him dearly and will miss him eternally.’
She wrote: ‘It’s with excessive remorse and unhappiness to announce that my love and finest buddy, Aron Eisenberg, handed away earlier right now.
‘He was an intelligent, humble, funny, emphatic soul. He sought to live his life with integrity and truth.’
She added: ‘He was so pushed to place the very best he had into no matter work was put earlier than him.
‘He lived his life with such vigor and passion.’
