The North Korean President, Kim Jong-un, receives a personal letter from Donald Trump


The North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, has received a personal letter from the US president. Donald Trump, reports Yonhap, quoting the North Korean state agency KCNA.

After reading it, Kim “said with satisfaction that the content of the letter is excellent”, according to reports KCNA

“By appreciating President Trump’s political vision and extraordinary courage, Kim Jong-un said he would seriously contemplate its interesting content,” the KCNA note added.

On June 11, Trump told reporters that he had received a “very warm” and “precious” letter from the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un.

The president said he believes that “something positive” will happen with Pyongyang, and that the third meeting with Kim Jong-un could soon be held. Trump added that Kim “has kept his word” and that “it is very important” for him.
